Details

At Yext, I had the opportunity to dive into management as a Platform Services Manager (platform services = technical account management). The team I led covered more than $100m in ACV, and grew from 6 members to 13 at one point. I spent time hiring and training new employees, helping established members grow, and generally navigating the chaos of a late-stage startup with minimal guidance for managers.

After moving to Product Design, I dedicated myself to IC work for a couple of years, but eventually moved back into management while continuing my own design work. There I led a team of 2, including working to get our best young designer the projects he needed to stay at the company.

At Rainmaker, I was given the opportunity to hire a Senior level designer, and together we worked diligently to up-level the design of the company.

My core beliefs in management are: transparency, people before company, and happiness over all.
