Rainmaker Content Site

A platform to learn about blockchain games.

Summary

Rainmaker's initial product was intended to educate gamers on blockchain/web3/crypto based video games. I joined the company as we stood up v1 and moved on towards a v2.

My Role

Lead Designer, Design Manager

Timeline

2 months working on initial rollout and upgrades, 2-3 weeks working on proposed redesigns

Disclaimer

I inherited a lot of the design system elements shown below. Most notably the colors, button styles, and fonts all proposed unique challenges. Ultimately, my co-designer and I redid the design system to tackle these challenges.

Details

I entered Rainmaker Games as it was about to launch its first product: an informational site about blockchain video games. I inherited a design from an agency that had a ton of cleanup work to be done on it. I spent the first few months working on ASAP designs to get to engineering so we could stand up v1 of the site.

After a few months we started doing a lot of concept work on how to modernize the site and unite it with a few of our other projects (an NFT Marketplace and Launchpad). Most of the designs you see below represent that unified vision. In the end, our learnings from v1 and the collapse of the "play-to-earn" space led the company in a different direction.
