Details

Survivor is the culmination of all our learnings at Rainmaker Games. After 3 other launches of varying success, we sought to bring to market a product that would inspire users while creating positive value for the company.

Born from my own desire to make the game I love more fun, Survivor asks players to complete objectives in their next online game (e.g. “get 10 assists in your next game”). Win and survive, lose and fall back!

Ultimately, I could not be more proud that we created, designed, and produced this game!
Welcome to Survivor.

An Epic Journey

Inspired by duolingo, we take our players on a journey of progression. Fight to Valhalla!

Other Notable Details

Research

Before getting too far into design and ideation, I conducted 10 user interviews over Discord with some of our Challenges community. The purpose of these interviews was to discern interest, gain meaningful feedback on the concept, and discover any opportunity areas.

The interviews had both qualitative and quantitative aspects: general back and forth discussion, and also ranking-based questions. I also created two walkthrough videos of prototypes to show users.

Ultimately, Survivor was a result of our direct learnings from our other products, as well as the feedback we got from users during these interviews. A good example of a change we made based on feedback would be the inclusion of cosmetic items.

Components
